LIGNA 2023

Mühlböck Trocknungstechnik successfully presented its energy-saving wood drying programme at this year's LIGNA in Hanover.

In addition to its energy-efficient drying kilns and progressive kilns, Mühlböck has successfully developed another product segment in recent years: the belt dryer, which - as with the entire Mühlböck programme - focuses on conserving resources and saving CO2.
2023's LIGNA once again showed that the energy-efficient technology developed over the years by the wood drying professionals from Upper Austria is particularly in tune with the spirit of the times: "Among the many conversations we had with customers and interested parties at our booth, the topic of energy saving was certainly the most important," confirms Richard Mühlböck, Managing Director of Mühlböck Trocknungstechnik. Whether in drying kilns, in progressive drying systems or in belt dryers for drying chips and wood chips, high energy savings can be achieved with Mühlböck technology in combination with the 1306 PRO and 1003 PREMIUM heat recovery systems, depending on the design.

A special feature of this year's LIGNA for Mühlböck was the new thematic proximity to the "energy transition", as the newly developed Mühlböck belt dryers are also used primarily in pellet production: "Over 30 systems have already been realised with our sustainable solution and we are seeing increased demand in this particular segment," says Richard Mühlböck.
