Belt dryer for Forssjö pellets

High emission savings by switching to Mühlböck belt dryers

One of the largest Mühlböck belt dryers 1003 PREMIUM ever built is currently being erected in Sweden for Forssjö Pellets AB (Sandasa Timber Group). The new dryer will go into operation in the summer: On the one hand, it should guarantee more capacity than the existing drum dryer and also offer advantages in terms of environmental and emission values. ‘When we were presented with Mühlböck's technology, solutions and experience, the choice was easy,’ says Erik Gyllengahm, board member and site manager at Forssjö Pellets AB.

With the Mühlböck 1003 PREMIUM system, the sawmill by-products for pellet production can be dried much more flexibly in the future and the efficient use of low temperature levels helps to significantly reduce resources and energy as well as CO2 and particulate emissions.

‘Our latest prestigious reference projects in Sweden and Finland show that our drying technology with the 1003 PREMIUM heat recovery system is increasingly conquering the Scandinavian market and that we can also offer the optimum wood drying solution for this region,’ says a delighted Richard Mühlböck, Managing Director of Mühlböck Holztrocknungsanlagen.
